Job Title:
Manager, Program Management Job Description This role leads complex capital projects within an industrial manufacturing environment, overseeing internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of high-value initiatives. The manager drives projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and robust project governance. Responsibilities Manage internal and external resources, including third parties and vendors, to execute projects through to completion. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within defined scope, and within approved budget. Develop clear project scopes and objectives that align with business goals and technical requirements. Engage all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and ensure technical feasibility of proposed solutions. Ensure resource availability and effective allocation across multiple concurrent projects. Develop detailed project plans to track progress, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Measure project performance using established systems, tools, and techniques, and report on progress to stakeholders. Oversee planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for capital projects, including cost control and variance analysis. Lead vendor management activities, including selection, coordination, and performance oversight. Maintain comprehensive project documentation to support transparency, compliance, and future reference. Coordinate people and processes to ensure projects achieve desired outcomes and meet quality standards. Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders to support project success. Essential Skills 5-7 years of experience in project or program management. Experience managing projects with budgets of $5 million or more. CapEx project management experience in a manufacturing environment. Engineering, project management, and project engineering experience. Strong background in project planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Experience with capital equipment and capital project management. Proficiency with project performance systems, tools, and techniques. Ability to use verification techniques to manage project scopes, schedules, and costs. Knowledge of comprehensive project documentation practices. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to coordinate people and processes to ensure desired results. Knowledge of business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Strong vendor management capabilities, including coordination and performance oversight. Ability to adapt project plans and resources in response to changing priorities or conditions. Strong analytical skills to interpret project performance data and drive decisions. Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and present project updates clearly. Work Environment The role operates within an industrial manufacturing environment, working closely with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to deliver large-scale capital projects. The position involves coordinating across multiple departments and external partners, managing complex equipment installations and upgrades, and overseeing project activities on the manufacturing floor and within office settings. The organization is part of a growing industry with active expansion plans over the next several years, offering opportunities to lead high-impact projects and contribute to long-term strategic growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shreveport, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $72.00/hr.
