$100,000-$110,000 Job Summary As Senior Project Manager at Caritas Communities, you will lead the organization's real estate development pipeline and directly supervise an Associate Project Manager. You will oversee the full lifecycle of complex affordable housing developments-including site selection, financial structuring, zoning, and construction-while supporting the long-term asset management of the portfolio. This role is a strategic step-up opportunity with significant growth potential, designed for an entrepreneurial leader ready to expand their executive presence, manage multi-million-dollar capital stacks, and navigate complex Massachusetts zoning. You will command project teams, report directly to the Board of Directors' Real Estate Committee on pipeline progress, and collaborate closely with the executive director to advance our mission. Core Responsibilities

Pipeline Management:
Research, develop, and maintain a realistic, achievable pipeline of affordable housing and commercial real estate projects.
•
Personnel Supervision:
With the executive director and development consultant, supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of an Associate Project Manager.
•
Financial Structuring:
Create project proposals, determine financial feasibility, and secure diverse public and private funding resources (including LIHTCs).
•
Project Execution:
Oversee all phases of 25+ unit developments from site selection, planning, and design through loan closings and construction.
•
Team Leadership:
Assemble, select, and manage comprehensive external project teams (architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants).
•
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, public officials, and community residents to build project consensus.
•
Asset Management Support:
Partner with the Director of Facilities to monitor portfolio health and property renovations.
•
Governance Liaison:
Act as a staff liaison to the Real Estate Committee of the Board of Directors.
•
Organizational Strategy:
Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership on policy recommendations, public relations, and board initiatives.
•
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Facilitate communication and joint initiatives between real estate development and other internal program areas. Required Skills and Qualifications
•
Experience :
3 to 5 years of progressively responsible real estate development experience, with at least 3 years operating specifically as a Project Manager.
•
Track Record:
Demonstrated experience managing complex, 25+ unit real estate projects through to completion.
•
Funding Expertise:
Proven success securing public and private affordable housing resources, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
•
Leadership & Management:
At least 5 years of experience supervising entry, mid-, senior-level staff, or coordinating large project teams.
•
Regional Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with permitting, zoning laws, and community relations within Massachusetts and surrounding municipal markets.
•
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related field is preferred.
•
Cultural Competency :
Comfort and skill working effectively with colleagues and residents from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Technical Skills:
Full computer literacy, including advanced fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel for financial modeling..
