Job Description

Join a dynamic operations safety support team in a hands-on Project/Program Manager role focused on driving safety execution, tracking corrective actions, and supporting a strong floor presence. This position partners closely with operations and EHS teams to help strengthen incident follow-up, behavioral safety observations, contractor onboarding oversight, and pre-production safety readiness. Responsibilities Support incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up using a safety or incident tracking system Help coordinate investigations by gathering facts, building timelines, and supporting root-cause and corrective-action development Work with operations and EHS partners to assign, track, and close out safety-related action items Monitor open actions, identify blockers or aging items, and escalate as needed to keep work moving Assist with pre-shift safety briefs and ongoing communication around safety priorities Conduct behavioral safety audits, provide real-time coaching, and address at-risk behaviors on the floor Support contractor onboarding activities, including oversight of expectations, competency checks, and follow-up monitoring Help coordinate PSRM checklist completion before production start Maintain strong floor presence to reinforce SOP adherence, housekeeping standards, and safe PIT practices Partner across operations, EHS, facilities, maintenance, engineering, and learning teams to remove barriers and support safe execution Provide clear updates on open items, trends, risks, and closure progress to leadership Skills 2 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, safety, EHS support, industrial hygiene, program management, or a related field Experience with incident investigation, corrective-action tracking, and safety process follow-through Comfort working on a production floor and coaching safe behaviors in real time Strong documentation, organization, and task-management skills Clear written and verbal communication across multiple teams Working knowledge of behavioral-based safety practices and contractor safety coordination Understanding of PIT operations and housekeeping/SOP standards Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and stay focused on closure and execution Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience in a production leadership or operational safety coordination role Preferred Skills Familiarity with AUSTIN or a similar incident or safety management system Background supporting pre-production safety reviews and checklist execution Experience working in fast-paced operational environments with multiple priorities Ability to identify trends and share practical recommendations to improve safety performance Strong initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset Horizontal is committed to building an inclusive and welcoming environment where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
