Assistant Project Manager Job Description As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support Project Managers in the administration and coordination of overall project activities. Your role will involve planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking of construction projects. You will prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation, ensuring seamless coordination with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with overall project administration and coordination. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Monitor project schedules and help identify potential delays or issues. Assist with procurement and material tracking. Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Support project reporting and maintain accurate project records. Attend project meetings and assist with communication between office and field teams. Ensure compliance with safety requirements, company policies, and project procedures. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or a related role. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Knowledge of construction processes, contract documents, and project controls. Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar project management software is preferred. Understanding of commercial construction practices. Work Environment This role requires working 5 days on the project site Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
