Permanent We're seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead technically challenging projects focused on building performance, energy efficiency, and high-performance building systems. This is an opportunity to work across new construction, existing buildings, building enclosure, mechanical systems, and Phius Passive House consulting while serving as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project teams. You'll have the autonomy to manage projects from start to finish, collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, and make a measurable impact on how buildings perform. What You'll Do Manage multiple commissioning and consulting projects, including new construction, retro-commissioning, and Phius Passive House projects. Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, design teams, and contractors. Own project scopes, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communication. Lead design and submittal reviews, RFI reviews, functional performance testing, and system verification for mechanical and building enclosure systems. Conduct and oversee site inspections, diagnostic testing, and field observations to identify performance issues and deficiencies. Support clients through Phius Passive House certification, energy modeling coordination, and construction-phase quality assurance. Prepare clear, technically rigorous reports with findings, recommendations, and energy efficiency opportunities. Lead project meetings, present technical findings, and help resolve scope, schedule, and performance issues. Mentor junior team members and contribute to improving internal processes, tools, and quality standards. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction technology, or a related field. 5+ years of project management experience , ideally in commissioning, energy consulting, or high-performance building services. Strong understanding of mechanical and building enclosure systems and building science principles. Knowledge of psychrometrics, building pressure dynamics, diagnostic testing, and HVAC/enclosure interactions. Experience with commissioning, retro-commissioning, Phius Passive House consulting, or similar high-performance building projects. Excellent technical writing, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities while solving complex problems independently. Preferred Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and building enclosure systems. Experience with WUFI, THERM, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp . Knowledge of sustainable and high-performance building practices. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
