Operations Lead - EW&C

Job Description

Position Summary The Operations Lead will serve as SETA support for existing and emerging products in SSW and will perform continuous management and review of cost, schedule, performance, and supportability of products as they transition through the acquisition life cycle from research, development, production, fielding and sustainment. The candidate will be a working and contributing member of the team, not simply a director of tasks. Additionally, the Operations Lead acts as a central coordinator and executor of operational objectives, whether in military or civilian contexts. Focused role emphasizes planning, coordination, mission execution, operational efficiency, resource management, and team collaboration. Success in the role requires leadership, organizational acumen, analytical capabilities, and effective communication, ensuring alignment of resources, personnel, and processes with overarching goals Essential Duties and Responsibilities Actively supports government leadership in the overarching execution of program objectives to include, but limited to scheduling, task completion, military collaboration, event coordination, and mission execution. Coordinates procedures and processes relating to mission implementation, acquisition processes, and logistical support for hardware, software, supplies, and services required by projects. Responsible for collaborated across all functional areas and leadership to ensure comprehensive understanding, prioritization, and ultimately the timely completion of assigned tasks. Assists in detailed planning for complex management projects, issues, and initiatives and provides support for risk analysis and tracking of cost, schedule, and performance of projects. Analyzes and evaluates project development, progress and performance; reviews and monitors all critical project documents. Supports periodic reviews to determine status of overall project and major milestones; ensure coordination for orderly phasing of all actions and detect potential slippages in advance; identify potential increases in cost; and ascertain appropriate action required to maintain or improve project schedules. Plans, organizes, and evaluates work of participating members and organizations that have relationships with the project. Applies a broad knowledge of operational execution and coordination to all aspects of mission needs. Reviews program documentation and make recommendations concerning long-range plans, policies, and schedules to improve the programmatic and technical effectiveness of the management team. Advises project management staff concerning program execution, operational coordination, and schedule tracking all in support of assigned projects. Conceives new approaches to various near-term and long-range projects; provides recommendations for activities supporting the project to ensure proper balance consistent with requirements and available resources. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 5 Years experience in program operational execution Recent program/product manager or operations assignments supporting delivery of program of record or operational needs systems. Ability to work on multi-functional teams. Excellent interpersonal skills, proven verbal and written communications, and the ability to work on multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Ability to self-start and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred:
Active TS with SCI eligibility is preferred Familiarity with acquisition lifecycle management DAWIA Certification BS degree
Education and Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field, 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $115,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
