$90-120k Position Overview A well-established commercial construction company in the Annapolis, Maryland area is seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning and execution of commercial construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients to help coordinate project activities from preconstruction through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and administration of commercial construction projects. Review plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, submittals, and other project documents. Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project correspondence. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. Track project schedules, budgets, materials, and deliverables. Attend project meetings and assist with documenting action items and follow-ups. Support the resolution of project issues and help communicate updates to the project team. Review invoices, commitments, and cost documentation for accuracy. Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is current. Visit project sites as needed to support project coordination and progress tracking. Promote compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Qualifications 2 or more years of experience in commercial construction, project coordination, or a related role. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Understanding of commercial construction processes, terminology, plans, and specifications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to travel to local project sites as needed.
