Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake (GIC) is hiring a Project Manager to oversee an AbilityOne custodial contract at Fort Meade. This role provides hands-on leadership across multi-site custodial operations while supporting meaningful employment for individuals with severe disabilities.

This position is ideal for an experienced custodial or facilities leader with government contract experience, strong people-management skills, and a commitment to quality and compliance
  • -What You'll Do
  • Manage daily operations of an AbilityOne custodial contract, ensuring all performance standards and Scope of Work requirements are met
  • Supervise custodial supervisors, crew leaders, and mobile work crews across multiple facilities
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing coverage, and services to meet contract demands
  • Lead quality control efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance
  • Manage operating budgets, approve invoices, and oversee purchasing and inventory
  • Ensure 75% of the workforce consists of individuals with severe disabilities, supporting recruitment and retention strategies
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive work environment while developing supervisor leadership skills
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, loss prevention, and organizational policies
  • Coordinate transportation, vehicle use, and preventive maintenance for vehicles and custodial equipment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication and reporting
  • What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 5+ years of supervisory custodial experience in a large department, contract, or project environment
  • 5+ years of project or contract management experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with individuals with severe disabilities required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Maryland insurance requirements
