We are looking for a proactive, detail-obsessed Project Manager to oversee projects across their entire lifecycle—from kick-off and production to deployment and billing. Hybrid Office:
This is a full-time role based out of our Frederick, Maryland office. We operate on a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), though occasional extra in-office days may be required based on client meetings and campaign needs.
Note:
During the first 6-month onboarding phase, full-time in the office is required to fully integrate with our team and processes.
Responsibilities Drive Full Project Lifecycles :
Lead projects from initial kick-off through planning, implementation, debriefing, reporting, and final billing. Master Workflows in
PM Software :
Build production schedules, assign team members based on expertise and bandwidth, and monitor project budgets inside our project management software as the central single source of scope data.
Bridge Clients & Creatives :
Act as a liaison between clients and our internal creative team, facilitating feedback, setting expectations, and escalating project roadblocks when needed.
Manage Meetings & Agendas :
Schedule, plan, and lead internal and external meeting agendas, status discussions, retrospectives, and action items.
Mitigate Project Risk :
Track project health, timelines, and budgets continuously to identify potential risks early and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Analyze & Report Performance:
Generate accurate reports covering project productivity, team profitability, and billing metrics to guide agency decisions. Leverage AI for
Operational Efficiency :
Utilize approved AI tools thoughtfully to process project data, automate administrative tasks where possible, and draft project documentation-enhancing workflow efficiency without replacing human oversight or primary software systems.
Nurture Client Relationships :
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, proactively gathering feedback to ensure exceptional service and client retention. Champion the
Brand :
Participate in proposal development and sales hand-offs, assist with client presentations, and support Postern's regional visibility through local engagement and community relations.
Enrich Agency Culture :
Contribute actively to a workspace built on creativity, ideation, collaboration, fun, and continuous learning. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Account Manager, or similar agency role. Solid understanding of traditional and digital marketing, content management, public relations, and social media workflows. Proven hands-on experience using project management software (e.g., Teamwork, Monday.com, Asana) to organize tasks and manage schedules. Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to streamline data processing, outline documentation, and create administrative efficiencies while relying on core PM platforms and human judgment to maintain project integrity. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting directly to clients and key stakeholders. Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions on tight timelines with high accuracy and attention to detail. Willingness to attend and network at industry, community, and business events to build local relationships.
