GC PROJECT MANAGER
Public & Municipal ConstructionFULL TIME
- ON SITE
- PARKVILLE, MARYLAND We are seeking a GC Project Manager to run public-sector and municipal construction projects
- ground-up new construction and major renovations
- from buyout through closeout.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage projects from award through final closeout
- Own the budget, cost tracking, forecasting, and billing
- Build and drive the project schedule
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Write and administer subcontracts and purchase orders
- Buy out and coordinate subcontractor scope; resolve field gaps
- Run owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings
- Enforce public procurement, prevailing wage/certified payroll, and closeout requirements
- Coordinate and manage effective communication between subcontractors, field staff and ownership entities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Project management experience with a general contractor
- Experience running public or municipal work
- Strong command of plans, specs, budgets, schedules, and change orders
- Ability to engage subcontractors and maintain long-term relationships
- Organized, deadline-driven, and highly detail-oriented.
PREFERRED
- New construction and major renovation experience
- Knowledge of public procurement, prevailing wage, and closeout procedures
- Proficiency in Procore, Building Connected, and MS Excel.
