Role Description The Senior Mechanical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Owings Mills, MD. This role oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from inception through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, directing field teams and subcontractors, reviewing mechanical and plumbing designs, and ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Project Manager collaborates closely with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders to address technical issues, maintain quality, and meet project milestones. Additional duties include overseeing procurement of materials and equipment, preparing progress reports, mitigating risks, and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience in commercial mechanical systems. Candidates should possess skills in Building Services coordination, including HVAC and related mechanical systems. Candidates should possess practical Plumbing expertise for commercial installations and systems design review. Candidates should possess proficiency in Procurement and Budgeting to manage materials, equipment, and project costs effectively. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Several years of experience managing commercial mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing projects, ideally in a contractor environment. Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and resolve technical and operational issues. Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards; OSHA awareness is beneficial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
