JOB SUMMARY
The Sample Coordinator will support all sales channels through effective, professional, and timely delivery of samples to current and prospective clients.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and ensure effectiveness of the sample program across Savage Plant. Manage all sample communication and act as liaison between Sales Team and cross-functional internal teams. Submit sample requests to appropriate Customer Service and Product Development team members for processing. Coordinate first run trial samples with Process and Quality Assurance teams. Work with warehouse, Product Development, and QA to confirm orders are pulled and ready for shipment. Responsible for retaining product samples Execute daily sample shipments out of Savage, preparing shipping labels and any required paperwork, carefully packing samples and any requested inclusions, confirming pickup and distributing tracking information to all requested parties. Responsible for creating tasting log sheet for the daily sensory tasking panel Responsible for entering data into Draughtlab, including Bostwick and drain weight checks Responsible for preparing and displaying soup samples for sensory daily tasting panel Responsible for shipping out samples for shelf-life testing for new products Shipping samples to other sites for our monthly multi-sensory panel Adhere to safe working practices Follow the company Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP's)
SKILL REQUIRED
Requires one to three years of experience in the food industry On-the-job training of 0-3 months Experience working in temperature-controlled settings Experience with perishable items Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic data entry experience

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Samples Coordinator encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands/Efforts Work requires occassional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Work Environment and Hazards Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, noise or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard. This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in injury and loss of time at work. Travel is not required for this position.   • $24/hourly.
The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine's good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Savage, MD location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Sample Coordinator position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
