Work on complex commercial & multifamily construction projects About Our Client About my client: Fast growing General Contractor in the Portland, ME area Primarily operates throughout its home state, with additional projects across the broader New England region. Generates approximately $30M in annual revenue. Provides services including Design-Build, Construction Management, and virtual construction/BIM solutions. Serves a diverse range of markets including commercial office, retail, multifamily housing, historic renovation, institutional, and educational facilities. Completes both new construction and renovation projects, with project values reaching up to approximately $20M. Known for managing complex, multi-faceted projects with a focus on schedule adherence, budget management, and client service. Job Description The Project Manager - Commercial & Multifamily - Portland will: Plan and oversee all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met. Monitor progress and address any issues or delays promptly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively. Lead and motivate project teams to achieve goals efficiently. The Successful Applicant The Project Manager - Commercial & Multifamily - Portland should have: Strong experience with managing construction projects in the property industry. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in construction. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle unexpected challenges.
