Project Manager Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States On-Site | Long-Term Contract Opportunity | Full-Time $35-$40/hr+ (Based on Relevant Experience) Benefits Begin on Day 1 | Paid Time Off | Paid Holidays Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision Packages | 401(k) | Additional Optional Insurances Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) lease renewals, logistics equipment management, and facility operations for a leading organization in Auburn Hills, MI. This role is ideal for someone with strong logistics engineering experience, equipment management knowledge, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Lease Renewals Track monthly lease expirations and proactively coordinate replacement activities with owners across U.S. and Canada facilities, including renewals, extensions, and terminations Maintain accurate records of lease terms, financials, equipment inventories, and vendor documentation Work with Purchasing buyers to analyze lease costs, rental costs, and total cost of ownership while identifying cost reduction opportunities Create financial summaries and recommendations for Material Handling Engineers and leadership and submit renewal projects Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual leased fleet updates to leadership Facilities and Equipment Manage long-term equipment blanket contracts (renewed every 3-5 years) with corporate purchasing Support testing, conduct risk assessments, and corrective action planning Manage detailed technical specifications for logistics equipment including carts, gravity flow racks, warehouse racking, docks, lift tables, tilt tables, and rotate tables Maintain up-to-date equipment specifications, drawings, BOMs, and process documentation Monitor existing equipment availability and propose reuses, upgrades, replacements, and asset transfers between facilities Ensure all logistics equipment meets corporate safety standards, ergonomic requirements, OSHA/MIOSHA compliance, and regulatory guidelines Additional Duties Maintain knowledge of industry standards for material handling equipment Evaluate new technologies and recommend the right equipment based on operational needs Work closely with Internal Logistics Engineering, facilities, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to provide technical support Track improvements, savings, and performance metrics related to logistics equipment Provide reports and presentations to leadership as needed Prepare and maintain equipment documentation including specifications, installation guides, checklists, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance plans Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications and issue resolution Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Supply Chain Management Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Internal Logistics, equipment selection, installation, continuous improvement, and equipment management Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skills Working knowledge of PIV leases, rentals, and purchasing processes If you have experience managing logistics-related projects and want to be part of a high-impact team supporting operational excellence, let's connect!
