Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-end residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This person will be responsible for driving schedules, budgets, communication, subcontractor coordination, and on-site execution while maintaining the level of quality and client service expected on luxury custom homes. The right candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in an owner-facing role across multiple custom residential projects in the Birmingham, Bloomfield, and broader Metro Detroit market. Key Responsibilities Manage custom residential construction projects from kickoff through final completion Build and maintain project schedules, milestone plans, and short-term look-ahead timelines Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members Monitor budgets, job costs, change orders, allowances, and overall financial performance Lead communication with homeowners, architects, designers, and trade partners throughout the life of the project Ensure job sites are running efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and field conditions to identify issues before they become delays or cost overruns Solve field problems quickly and keep projects moving with urgency and professionalism Track material procurement, long-lead items, delivery timing, and installation sequencing Conduct regular site walks, quality-control reviews, punch-list management, and closeout coordination Maintain accurate documentation including schedules, meeting notes, selections, approvals, and change-order records Partner closely with leadership to keep clients informed and protect the overall project experience Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience in residential construction Strong preference for luxury custom home experience Proven ability to manage multiple active projects, schedules, budgets, and trade relationships at once Experience working directly with homeowners, architects, and design professionals Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, quality control, and residential field operations Ability to read plans, specifications, and finish details with a sharp eye for accuracy Strong communication skills, follow-through, and professional presence Ability to solve problems quickly, stay ahead of issues, and hold trades accountable Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and construction documentation tools Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local Metro Detroit job sites as needed Preferred Background Luxury custom residential construction experience in Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, or comparable Metro Detroit submarkets Background with ground-up custom homes, major additions, and complex renovations Experience in a client-facing environment where service, communication, and craftsmanship all matter What Success Looks Like Projects stay on schedule and within budget Clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the build Subcontractors are coordinated well and held to a high standard Field issues are solved early before they impact quality or deadlines Finished homes reflect the company's reputation for craftsmanship and professionalism Compensation Competitive Base Salary Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurances 401k with Match
