IDN Door and Hardware, found in Livonia, MI, specializes in service and wholesale/distribution of doors, frames, and hardware. Role Overview A technically demanding role that blends customer communication with project coordination. As a Sales Project Manager , you'll manage jobs from initial proposal through final invoicing — interpreting specifications, detailing hardware packages, and coordinating fabrication, delivery, and installation. You'll be the internal lead on each project, ensuring accuracy and timely execution across departments. Key Responsibilities Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to answer inquiries, send proposals, and provide updates Review specifications and job details from outside sales reps to create accurate proposals Understand and apply practical technical concepts such as rough opening sizing, door/frame measurements, hardware compatibility, and fabrication instructions Accurately interpret fractions, measurements, and component details to ensure proper fit and function Coordinate with warehouse, fabrication, quality control, and scheduling teams to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery Track project timelines, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and maintain clear communication across stakeholders Enter phone orders and manage job documentation with precision and speed Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for invoicing and delivery What You Bring Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong customer communication skills and a professional, service-oriented demeanor High technical aptitude and willingness to learn door and hardware specifications, standards, and fabrication processes Ability to confidently work with measurements, fractions, and component matching Familiarity with specification sheets, purchase orders, and job costing a plus A responsible mindset with a commitment to follow-through Ability to act with urgency, prioritize tasks effectively, respond swiftly in fast-paced environments, thrive under pressure, and manage multiple deadlines You'll Work Closely With Customers (new and existing) via phone and email Outside Sales Representatives Internal teams: warehouse, fabrication, quality control, scheduling External vendors and suppliers Why This Role Matters You're not just coordinating — you're engineering solutions.
