Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
: The primary role of the Technology Project Manager is to build and strengthen customer relationships by ensuring the technology utilized by Huffmaster Protective Services Group is properly installed, configured, maintained and supported.
Service delivery is accomplished by:
1) managing the various vendors and suppliers utilized by the Protective Services Group (PSG) and VirSec Operations Center (VOC), 2) configuration of the software deployed in the VOC, and 3) coordination with customer IT resources 4) emergency response to technical issues in PSG and the VOC as they occur. Primary responsibilities include customer relations and support, vendor relations, coordination, and management. Assist with network administration, systems maintenance, configuration and operation of critical software platforms, end-user training and onboarding of new customers for PSG and the VOC. The Technology Project Manager will coordinate and/or conduct ongoing technical training of the end users(customers) to ensure deployed/installed security systems/equipment can be fully utilized by the customer. The Technology Project Manager will also assist the Huffmaster Management Inc. Sales Information Systems Manager as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination Create quotes for projects using the input of PSG Management Assist with scheduling of vendors, suppliers, contractors, and integrators as needed Review project budgets and purchase orders to ensure thresholds are maintained Maintain open lines of communication with all parties involved in a project Maintain project and service timelines which are frequently communicated to the client Network Administration Have a working knowledge of ongoing maintenance of the PSG and VOC networks and Windows servers Have a working knowledge of how to configure new client connectivity to the VOC When needed, be able to troubleshoot any technology related issues that come up within PSG and the VOC and/or involving connectivity with monitored client locations Respond to local customer sites, when necessary, to troubleshoot connectivity issues Software Platforms Have a working knowledge of all video management and access control software platforms used by PSG and the VOC Coordinate customer software/hardware upgrades as needed or required by client contract Research and recommend new technologies to both PSG Management as well as customers Attend training seminars for various software platforms as needed or required by client contract Customer IT Coordination and Relations Continual coordination with customer IT resources, ensuring compatibility and connectivity to customer's security systems Coordinate new circuit requests with customers as needed Recommend preferred methods to improve the effectiveness and reliability of connectivity Review customer software platforms and versions to ensure compatibility on a monthly basis Maintain positive client communications to ensure client retention Subcontractor Relationships Develop a cadre of subcontractors for installations, service calls, and sales calls across the country Report all installations and service calls to the Technology Project Coordinator who will then ensure project completion in a timely manner Ensure contracts with subcontractors are executed prior to work being started and submit them to the Technology Project Coordinator for tracking Ensure that all invoices received from subcontractors are submitted to the Technology Project Coordinator in a timely manner so invoices can be properly forwarded to Accounting for payment Seek competitive quotes from multiple vendors for projects and work in conjunction with the Technology Project Coordinator to ensure the most capable vendor is selected
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must develop expertise within multiple VMS platforms as well as access control, IDS and Fire systems. Candidates will be required to develop experience with access control platforms. Preferred candidates will have experience with Milestone or Avigilon VMS platforms, and possess knowledge of various other IP camera, Intrusion Detection and Fire Detection platforms. Basic networking, firewall experience, and Windows OS administration will be a requirement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma is required, college degree or technical college degree preferred. Basic working knowledge of Networking, preferably IP-based video systems, internet services, etc. Basic working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including desktops and servers. Three years' experience in a security environment preferred.
TECHNICAL LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret network architecture, technical schematics, work orders, etc. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, all necessary information surrounding core job duties.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve technical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must possess strong analytical abilities and deductive reasoning skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic working knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, and Internet appliances and utilities is critical. Experience with multiple VMS platforms, IP camera types, IDS and FP systems is preferable. Microsoft Office suite mandatory.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License with good driving record. Must be willing to obtain certificates through various training provided by the software manufacturers used in the VOC. NiCET certification(s) are a plus.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While this position does not normally perform much physical work, the ability to inspect others' work will require some physical demands. Employee must be able to squat, kneel, bend, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and be able to work long hours. Although this position is a supervisory one, it may require that the employee perform or assist with installations of security systems job functions. Therefore, this position may require sitting or standing for long periods of time or work on a two person lift at various heights to assure safety (two person rule) of the installing technician. Employee must be able to drive to customer locations on occasion and/or as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is in a climate-controlled setting. Occasional travel to customer locations is required as needed. Employee is expected to report to regular work hours in the PSG offices within Huffmaster Headquarters facility on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week unless a holiday falls on those days at which time the employee is expected to report on an adjacent day of the week or as needed or directed by the Director of Technology Solutions or by senior management. Additional hours in the PSG offices may be required based on operational demand/needs. Business casual attire is mandatory.
