Project Manager Job Summary:
Air International (US) Inc. is a company specializing in the development and manufacturing of automotive thermal management systems. It is part of Air International Thermal Systems, a globalleader in the design, development, and production of automotive air conditioning systems, coolingsystems, and related components, serving the world's leading automakers with efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. Our company seeks to hire a Project Manager to meet the growing need for coordination of complex automotive thermal management programs that involve multiple internal departments, global resources, and time-sensitive customer commitments. The Project Manager will plan and oversee cross-functional automotive thermal management programs from pre-SOP through serial production, managing project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and key deliverables. The position will coordinate manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production performance data to identify bottlenecks, recurring defects, and optimization opportunities, and by driving corrective actions with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties: Manufacturing Improvement & Process Optimization (60%)
  • Monitor and coordinate a diverse range of HVAC/thermal and cooling system projects ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute integrated project plans and schedules for HVAC/thermal and cooling system programs across the product lifecycle, including scope, milestones, resources, budget, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive corrective action plans, tracking risks, decisions, timelines, and ownership to closure.
  • Lead continuous improvement workstreams by planning and coordinating initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve throughput, and optimize cycle times/capacity to prioritize actions, track and monitor costs, and manage implementation schedules.
  • Develop process documentation to ensure they accurately reflect project status, requirements, and inspection criteria.
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to coordinate with other teams on technical decision-making to ensure a balance between customer expectations with quality standards and regulatory compliance. Client Communication & Stakeholder Coordination (30% of the time)
  • Serve as the primary program point of contact for internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams, communicating project objectives, timing, and readiness status for manufacturing routings, tooling/equipment needs, and serial production capacity.
  • Prepare and deliver recurring project status reports and presentations covering schedule, cost, risks, quality concerns, and post-SOP performance trends (bottlenecks, defect recurrence, and process capability) to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with clients and third-party vendors through project meetings to facilitate clear, consistent communication among all stakeholders to support smooth workflow and timely problem-solving. Other Duties (10% of the time)
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, mechanical engineering, or another closely related field.
  • 2 years' work experience designing and analyzing mechanical engineering projects related to production lines in HVAC and cooling systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
