Senior Project Manager - Medical & Pharmaceutical AutomationSterling Engineering is partnering with a leading custom automation company that is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex automation projects supporting the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. This role is ideal for a project leader who has experience managing highly engineered equipment projects and understands the unique requirements of regulated industries, including documentation, validation, customer communication, and strict project timelines. What You'll Be DoingOwn the execution of multiple custom automation projects from concept through customer acceptancePartner with customers to understand project goals, requirements, timelines, and expectationsLead cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, controls engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and qualityManage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverablesCoordinate design reviews, build milestones, factory testing, and customer installationsIdentify project challenges early and drive solutions to maintain successful deliveryEnsure proper documentation and compliance throughout the project lifecycleProvide clear communication and project updates to customers and internal leadershipWhat We're Looking For5+ years of project management experience within custom automation, capital equipment, or engineered manufacturing environmentsExperience managing equipment projects for medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industriesStrong understanding of machine development, engineering processes, and equipment lifecycleExperience working with cross-functional engineering teamsStrong customer-facing communication and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment Ideal Candidate BackgroundCandidates with experience from companies involved in:Medical device automationPharmaceutical equipmentLife sciences automationCustom machineryGMP-regulated manufacturing environments Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
