Job Title:
PlanView Project Manager Job Description The PlanView Project Manager leads and coordinates all IT-related activities for the deployment of an enterprise portfolio and project management solution across the organization. This role oversees technical planning, configuration, integration, and rollout efforts, while ensuring alignment between IT delivery and business objectives. The position serves as the primary IT point of contact for the implementation, managing dependencies across infrastructure, security, identity, integrations, and application readiness in a controlled enterprise environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage all IT-related activities for the deployment of the portfolio and project management platform across the company. Coordinate technical planning, configuration, integration, and rollout activities in collaboration with internal IT teams and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary IT point of contact for the implementation, ensuring technical execution aligns with business objectives and priorities. Manage dependencies between infrastructure, security, identity and access management (IAM), integrations, and application readiness. Ensure all deployment activities comply with internal IT standards, security policies, and governance requirements. Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, including tasks, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocations. Track and report on project progress, risks, issues, and milestones related to IT delivery, and escalate concerns as needed. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on delivery timelines. Support testing activities by coordinating IT resources, environments, and data requirements for system and user acceptance testing. Lead or support cutover planning and go-live activities from an IT perspective, ensuring a smooth transition to production. Facilitate clear and consistent communication between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to support smooth deployment and adoption. Translate business requirements into actionable IT delivery plans, technical tasks, and implementation roadmaps. Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, including infrastructure, security, IAM, integrations, and application teams, to ensure cohesive execution. Work closely with external vendors or SaaS providers to manage technical implementation tasks, integrations, and issue resolution. Promote best practices in IT project management and delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches. Utilize project management and collaboration tools to document plans, track work, and communicate status to stakeholders. Support post-go-live stabilization activities from an IT standpoint, helping to resolve early-life support issues and optimize system performance. Essential Skills Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience managing IT-related activities for enterprise application deployments or system implementations. Hands-on experience coordinating cross-functional IT teams such as infrastructure, security, identity and access management (IAM), integrations, and applications. Strong understanding of IT project management practices and delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches. Experience managing project schedules, dependencies, risks, and issues in a controlled enterprise environment. Ability to translate business requirements into IT delivery plans and technical activities. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working with external vendors or SaaS providers during implementation efforts. Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms and cloud-based solutions. Understanding of identity management, security, data integrations, and compliance considerations in enterprise IT. Experience supporting testing, cutover, and go-live activities from an IT perspective. Proficiency with common project management and collaboration tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with portfolio and project management platforms such as PlanView (PPM, Portfolios, AgilePlace, or related modules) or similar solutions. Project management certification such as PMP or an equivalent credential. Experience working in a global or multi-region enterprise environment. Background in IT engineering, infrastructure, or application management roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex technical dependencies and integrations. Ability to build effective relationships across IT and business teams and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00
  • $78.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
