Job Title:
BIM CoordinatorJob Description The BIM Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and workflows across multiple projects. This position focuses on the creation, integration, and maintenance of 3D models and project data using Autodesk Revit, SolidWorks, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). The BIM Coordinator ensures effective collaboration between design, construction, and client teams while upholding BIM standards, improving efficiency, and supporting high-quality project delivery. Responsibilities Develop, manage, and maintain detailed BIM models across disciplines using Autodesk Revit and SolidWorks. Coordinate 3D model reviews and perform clash detection using Navisworks to ensure design accuracy and resolve conflicts efficiently. Manage BIM workflows and collaboration using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), enabling effective communication between design, construction, and client teams. Establish, document, and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all projects. Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to align BIM deliverables with project objectives, schedules, and milestones. Oversee BIM data management and integration to support seamless model sharing, version control, and accurate information flow. Conduct regular quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on models to ensure compliance with industry and project-specific standards. Provide training, guidance, and day-to-day support to team members on BIM tools, standards, and workflows. Monitor advancements in BIM technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve processes, efficiency, and model quality. Support 3D rendering and visualization needs to communicate design intent and project concepts effectively. Essential Skills 5-7 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination in a professional setting. Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in BIM coordination and modeling in a professional environment. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for BIM modeling and coordination. Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and coordination tasks. Proficiency in Navisworks for 3D model review and clash detection. Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for managing BIM workflows and collaboration. Strong understanding of construction processes and design principles. Demonstrated experience with 3D modeling and 3D rendering. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple models, versions, and project deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving design and coordination issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Experience with clash detection workflows, including setup, review, and resolution tracking. Experience with 4D and 5D modeling and data visualization is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO-based BIM standards or other BIM frameworks is preferred. Ability to train and mentor team members on BIM tools, standards, and best practices. Interest in staying current with emerging BIM technologies, software updates, and industry trends. Work Environment This role is primarily onsite at a dedicated center located in Troy, MI, where you will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction professionals using tools such as Autodesk Revit, SolidWorks, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). The position includes occasional travel, with approximately one visit per month to a project site in Fenton, MI. You will work in a professional office environment that supports focused technical work, coordination meetings, and collaborative design sessions. The setting typically involves standard business hours, use of modern computer hardware and software, and a professional dress code appropriate for an office and client-facing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00
