Job Description

Senior Project Manager (Drywall)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in drywall and exterior/interior enclosure systems to lead multiple commercial and multifamily projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with deep technical knowledge of drywall, metal framing, stucco, EIFS and related systems (including OSC), and will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning, scheduling and execution of multiple drywall and exterior/interior enclosure projects from preconstruction through punchlist and closeout.

Manage project budgets, cost controls, forecasting and monthly reporting; prepare and review estimates, change orders and contract modifications.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and field teams to ensure work is completed to specifications, schedule and quality standards.

Enforce jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies; conduct safety meetings, inspections and corrective actions.

Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, shop drawings and specifications; resolve design and constructability issues with architects, engineers and clients.

Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore); monitor critical path and adjust resources to meet milestones.

Perform quality control inspections and implement corrective measures to meet company standards and client expectations.

Manage client and owner relationships; provide regular progress updates, attend meetings and address project concerns promptly and professionally.

Oversee procurement of materials and equipment; track lead times and coordinate delivery sequencing to align with project schedules.

Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders and as-built records; ensure timely closeout and warranty follow-up.

Mentor and develop project engineers, superintendents and on-site personnel; promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of project management experience in drywall, metal framing and interior/exterior finishing on commercial or multifamily projects; 10+ years preferred.

Proven track record managing multi-million dollar projects through all phases: preconstruction, procurement, construction and closeout.

Strong technical knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, stucco, EIFS and OSC; ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and shop drawings.

OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred.

Experience with project management and construction software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, PlanGrid or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prepare estimates, negotiate change orders and control project costs.

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred; equivalent trade experience will be considered.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites regularly; willingness to spend time on job sites as required.

Commitment to safety culture and quality workmanship; familiarity with industry best practices and relevant building codes and standards.
