Job Description

Full-Time • Year-Round • Salary commensurate with experience and capabilities Run the work. Lead the crews. Own the outcome. For 13 years, Detroit Lakes and Becker County have trusted Miller Yard Care with their outdoor spaces — mowing, irrigation, tree care, and more. Now we're growing our landscape division — paver patios, retaining walls, shoreline restoration, new yard installs — and we need a project manager who can lead it, build it, and grow it. You'll step in and lead the crews we're already running, and shape this division into whatever it becomes. Here's what makes it different from most manager jobs: you're not stuck writing quotes, chasing leads, or buried in paperwork. The owner handles the selling — you focus on running great projects and building and leading a great team. We run on clear systems, so you're leading, not firefighting. What You'll Run Every job, start to finish — materials, scheduling, logistics, permitting, and final quality Job costing and timelines, so projects finish on time, on budget, and to the Miller Standard Your crews — leading, building, developing, and holding them accountable to the Miller Standard Who We're Looking For This is a professional's role, and we're looking for a professional to fill it — someone who carries themselves that way with clients, with crews, and on every job site. A proven leader who's built teams, run jobs, and led people in a hands-on trade. Landscaping experience helps, but it's not required — we'll teach the right leader the craft. What we can't train is character, professionalism, and the drive to get the job done right. Strong communication, attention to detail, and organization — you keep multiple jobs, schedules, and material orders straight without dropping the ball. You solve problems before they blow up and don't need someone standing over you. You do it right, every time — and you want to build something of your own. What You Get Competitive salary with real room to grow as your division grows A four-day work week most of the season — Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off unless weather or a busy stretch calls us in A clear path up — more crews under you and growing responsibility as the division grows 401(k) with match, dental, vision, paid time off Year-round stability, owner support, and marketing and sales feeding your crews the work — so you're set up to win, not scrambling for it Think this is you?
