Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support multiple medium-to-large, cross-functional initiatives in a complex enterprise environment. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes by guiding projects from planning through implementation while partnering closely with product, technology, operations, business, and leadership teams. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day project management for multiple initiatives and workstreams Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and resource needs Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate across product, technical, operational, business, vendor, and leadership stakeholders Support delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with project management standards Prepare status updates, dashboards, executive communications, and other project reporting materials Facilitate planning meetings, collaborative discussions, decision-making sessions, and conflict resolution Identify blockers and work with teams to drive resolution or escalation when needed Support change management, implementation planning, and operational readiness efforts Maintain organized and accessible project documentation Balance multiple priorities while keeping visibility into broader program goals Build strong working relationships across a matrixed organization and help ensure accountability for commitments Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and adherence to financial guidelines Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as applicable Apply Agile practices to support team delivery, including Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking Partner with Product Owners to prioritize work and improve delivery flow Help teams surface and resolve impediments while encouraging open communication and continuous improvement Skills Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of project management or related business experience, or a master's degree with 4+ years of project management experience Proven success managing medium-to-large cross-functional projects or programs Strong understanding of project management methods and the full project lifecycle Hands-on experience with Agile delivery practices and Jira Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams effectively Strong planning, risk management, dependency management, and delivery tracking skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Skilled at working across business, product, technology, operations, and leadership teams Comfortable facilitating complex discussions, driving decisions, and resolving conflicts Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategy and execution Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and stay organized under competing priorities Experience in complex, matrixed enterprise environments Preferred Skills Experience supporting healthcare, healthcare technology, or digital transformation initiatives Background working with product-focused teams or digital/product portfolios Experience in a large healthcare organization or similarly matrixed environment Support for senior program or portfolio leadership across connected workstreams Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, vendors, and resource coordination PMP or similar project management certification Scrum or Agile certification such as CSM, A-CSM, PMI-ACP, or CSP Strong coaching mindset with an interest in helping teams improve delivery predictability and efficiency Horizontal is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
