Job Description

We are seeking a skilled We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager in Central Minnesota to support the management of heavy civil and underground utility projects , including water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and wastewater pipeline installations . Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager - Heavy Civil (Water & Utilities)
Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers in overseeing utility, earthwork, and infrastructure projects from start-up through completion. Support in the development of project schedules, budgets, and cost reports . Prepare and maintain submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation . Work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure quality, safety, and productivity. Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and vendor communications . Track and process change orders, pay applications, and project billing . Provide technical support for layout, drawings, and as-builts (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software). Participate in project meetings with clients, engineers, inspectors, and municipal representatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience. 2-4 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with exposure to water, sewer, storm, or utility projects strongly preferred. Familiarity with construction documents, specifications, and municipal utility standards . Proficiency in construction management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite .
