Description Highmark Companies is adding a Commercial Project Manager to our growing Exteriors team. The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing exterior construction projects from inception to completion. This role includes managing project timelines, budgets, and resources; coordinating with clients, architects, and subcontractors; and ensuring Highmark's high-quality standards are met. The Commercial Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, while maintaining project profitability. Highmark's Exteriors department serves residential and commercial clients, specializing in both new construction and remodels for roofing, siding, windows, and gutters.
Pay:

Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation; define objectives, deliverables, and milestones. Conduct site assessments and feasibility analyses to inform project planning. Oversee all exterior construction activities — site preparation, installation, and scope changes — through to project completion. Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely, efficient execution. Manage project resources (labor, materials, and equipment) and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and Highmark quality standards. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues or concerns. Develop and manage project budgets; monitor expenditures, control costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Review and approve invoices and payments to subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare and present progress, financial, and quality reports to senior management. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies; resolve project issues and conflicts promptly. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations; conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and lead progress meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
Manage project close-out:
final inspections, punch lists, client handover, completion reports, and lessons learned. Safely operate company vehicles; maintain vehicle upkeep and accurate mileage, fuel, and incident records.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience as a Project Manager in exterior construction, preferably in the commercial sector. Strong knowledge of exterior construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, BuilderTrend) and construction management tools. Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of lean construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies (a plus). Embodies Highmark's five core values: Trustworthy, Humble, Intentional, Driven, and Wise. Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and ability to pass an MVR screening. Must pass a background check. Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
