Job Description

Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction A growing and well-respected General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to grow their career with a company that values teamwork, mentorship, and professional development. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial construction projects Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and owners Track project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities Support buyout and contract administration efforts Assist with project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting and reporting Help ensure project compliance with contract documents and company standards Collaborate with Superintendents to support field operations and project progress Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 1-5 years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and documentation Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the construction industry Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Annual bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Ongoing professional development and advancement opportunities Stable pipeline of work with a reputable contractor Collaborative team environment and strong leadership support This is a great opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to all aspects of commercial project management. 📩 Apply confidentially today: megan.cantone@gogpac.com
