Project Manager Supervisor Project / Program Management St. Louis, Missouri Permanent May 4, 2026 Job Summary An engineering consulting organization is hiring a Project Management Supervisor - Transmission to lead and support Project Managers in delivering electric transmission projects from initiation through closeout. This role oversees project performance, capital forecasting, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements while ensuring consistent execution of established project management processes. The supervisor partners with internal teams and client stakeholders to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery across a portfolio of large-scale transmission projects. Responsibilities Mentor and support Transmission Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, including initiation, routing/siting, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, energization, and closeout Monitor project performance metrics including schedule, cost, safety, risk, and quality to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction Manage and track capital spend forecasts across a portfolio of transmission projects and communicate budget variances to client stakeholders Review Project Execution Plans (PEPs), project authorization packages, and supporting documentation to ensure readiness for client funding and governance approvals Ensure adherence to client project management standards, stage-gate processes, and construction governance requirements Track and report project metrics while ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate, and business procedures Coordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, supply chain, construction, and operations teams to support project execution Travel up to 10% to support client meetings, project site visits, and stakeholder coordination Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent industry experience 7+ years of experience managing or supporting electric transmission, utility, or large infrastructure projects Strong understanding of the transmission project lifecycle, including siting, permitting, engineering/design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout Experience managing large capital projects and budgets, preferably $50M+ Knowledge of utility project management processes, stage-gate/governance models, and construction management practices Ability to analyze project financials, forecasts, and performance metrics Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to leadership and client representatives Familiarity with regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements related to transmission or utility projects Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite

Prior experience leading or mentoring Project Managers or project teams
