Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities a. Serve as liaison between Johnson County Prevention Coalition and Johnson County community, which include partners for collaboration, networking, and resource- sharing. b. Serve as coalition point person for coalition members including recruitment, orientation, and development of member support materials. Manage coalition member-volunteers. Collaborate and format coalition work groups. c. Provide effective management and daily oversight of the grant and its activities. d. Assure essential documentation of coalition meetings and functions regarding agendas, minutes, attendance, and accomplishments. e. Assure coalition capacity building as necessary for effective project implementation and sustainability, which includes, but not limited to oversee and assure coalition community assessment strategies and data analysis. Work with PD on coalition strategic planning, project development, project implementation and evaluation. f. Assist with recruitment and training of Johnson County youth coalition and its community prevention efforts. g. Work with coalition evaluator to ensure best practice data collection, analysis, reporting and stakeholder communications. h. Assure proactive identification of, and application to, new funding streams in assurance of the sustainability of coalition priorities and activities. Qualifications for Position a. Minimum of a bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in a health-related field. b. Experience working with the community served and have familiarity with the norms of those populations in Johnson County. c. Attend training for ongoing professional development. Skills and Knowledge Required a. Effective leadership, organization, culturally competent, and team building skills. b. Effective community networking skills. c. Knowledge of substance use and mental health. d. Effective verbal and written communication skills. e. Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite. f. Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Amount of Travel and Time:
Travel within the region, majority in Johnson County. Some travel to national and state training required. Full-time employment with flexible hours required.

40 hours/week
Pay:
$45,000.00 per year
