ROLE FOR HIRE
PROJECT MANAGER (NYC/NJ)Location:
New York & New Jersey About the Role The Project Manager leads all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. This position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and technical expertise to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, and logistics plans to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion.
- Oversee all project financials, including subcontractor billing, cost tracking, change orders, and monthly projections to ensure fiscal discipline.
- Create and manage submittal schedules, coordinate reviews with the design team, lead submittal meetings, and ensure timely processing of RFIs.
- Review, track, and approve subcontractor and owner change orders, assessing cost and schedule impacts while maintaining accurate logs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants; lead OAC meetings and maintain proactive communication.
- Participate in trade buyouts, prepare scope sheets, conduct kickoff and coordination meetings, and ensure all trades meet schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
- Manage the permitting process, insurance enrollment, and compliance documentation to ensure full adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead weekly internal and subcontractor meetings to review submittals, RFIs, safety, schedule, and material lead times; foster a collaborative project culture.
- Compile and distribute monthly project reports, including progress updates, submittal logs, RFI summaries, and financial forecasts for executive and client review.
- Oversee punch list completion, final inspections, and turnover documentation to ensure successful and compliant project delivery. Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction management experience with a proven record of delivering projects successfully.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
