Job Description Manage multiple civil engineering and land development projects simultaneously from planning and design through permitting and construction. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and project teams. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and forecasting. Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff. Coordinate preparation of site plans, grading plans, utility design, stormwater management systems, and permitting applications. Oversee quality control reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Attend client meetings, public hearings, and municipal board presentations as required. Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain project performance and profitability. Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, client engagement, and networking activities. Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to senior leadership. The Successful Applicant A successful Civil Project Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required. 7+ years of progressive civil engineering and project management experience. Strong background in land development, municipal engineering, site development, transportation, or infrastructure projects. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software. Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring technical teams. Strong knowledge of New Jersey permitting processes and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
