Project Coordinator - ConstructionJob Description This role provides critical project coordination and administrative support within a construction environment, ensuring that documentation, communication, and project controls are accurate, timely, and well organized. You will work closely with project leaders, field personnel, suppliers, and customers to keep projects moving smoothly from submittals and RFIs through change orders and final documentation. Responsibilities Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, suppliers, and field personnel to support effective project execution. Read and interpret structural drawings, project specifications, scopes of work, and other construction documents to support project coordination. Prepare, submit, and track project submittals, ensuring all required information is accurate and delivered on schedule. Create, process, and track change orders, maintaining clear documentation and status updates. Request, submit, and track approval for concrete mix designs, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed. Review, organize, and maintain rebar shop drawings and related documentation. Print construction drawings and plans in large format and distribute them as required for project needs. Prepare, respond to, and manage professional email correspondence with internal teams and external partners. Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project files to ensure information is easily accessible and up to date. Assist project managers with daily administrative tasks and project coordination activities. Monitor project deadlines and ensure all required documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders, is submitted on time. Attend project managers' meetings every other Wednesday and assist with meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions. Perform data entry and other administrative duties as assigned to support overall project delivery. Essential Skills Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction documents. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. High attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry in an administrative or project coordination role. Experience coordinating RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Proficiency in project coordination and administration within a construction setting. Solid data entry skills with accuracy and consistency. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred, including exposure to concrete work. Experience supporting project management activities, including documentation and schedule tracking. Comfort working with large-format construction drawings and shop drawings. Interest in long-term career growth within the construction sector. Motivation to take on additional responsibilities and advance quickly when opportunities arise. Work Environment This is a full-time, office-based role in a construction-focused environment. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 45-minute lunch break. Occasional additional commitments may occur once or twice a month, such as attending and supporting project managers' meetings. You will work with digital and hard-copy project files, large-format printed plans, and common office technologies including Microsoft Office.
