Company Description Four Rivers STEAM Charter School is a developing public charter school dedicated to integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics into a rigorous, engaging curriculum. Located in Freehold Township, NJ, the school aims to provide inclusive, student-centered learning experiences that prepare learners for college, careers, and active citizenship. The school is currently in its pre-opening phase, focusing on building strong community partnerships and securing the resources needed for a successful launch. Team members joining at this stage will help shape school culture, programs, and outreach from the ground up. The environment values collaboration, innovation, and equity in education. Role Description The Pre-Opening Outreach and Fundraising Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Freehold Township, NJ. This role is responsible for planning and executing outreach initiatives to families, community organizations, and local stakeholders, including organizing information sessions, community events, and school presentations. The coordinator will develop and implement fundraising plans, manage donor outreach, track contributions, and support grant application efforts to secure financial support for the school's opening. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project timelines, maintaining communication with partners and volunteers, preparing outreach materials, managing contact lists, and documenting activities and outcomes. The role works closely with school leadership to ensure consistent messaging, build community awareness, and foster lasting relationships that support the school's mission and long-term growth. Qualifications Experience in community outreach, family engagement, or working with local organizations and stakeholders. Fundraising and development skills, including donor relations, event-based fundraising, and grant or proposal support. Project coordination skills, such as organizing timelines, managing multiple initiatives, and tracking progress and outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing outreach materials, presentations, and clear correspondence. Ability to build positive relationships, work collaboratively with diverse communities, and represent the school in a professional manner. Comfort with basic office software, digital communication tools, and data tracking or CRM systems. Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, student-centered learning, and the values of STEAM education. Prior experience in K-12 education, nonprofits, or charter school environments is beneficial. Associate's or bachelor's degree in education, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
