Job Description
Job ECO Electrical Services (EES) is seeking experienced, motivated Assistant Project Managers to join our growing project management team. With a strong pipeline of work extending through 2026, 2027, 2028 and beyond , EES is expanding its management structure and looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career with a growing electrical contracting company. This is not an entry-level administrative position . We are looking for candidates with 3-5+ years of relevant construction or electrical project experience who understand how projects move from award through procurement, construction, closeout, and turnover. The successful candidate will work directly under our Senior Project Managers and senior management team and will be trained in EES procedures, standards, and project-management software. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of multiple electrical construction projects. Coordinate with Project Managers, field supervisors, foremen, electricians, general contractors, vendors, and clients. Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract requirements. Track project schedules, manpower, labor hours, material requirements, and overall job progress. Prepare and maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, logs, and project documentation . Assist with material procurement and ensure long-lead items are identified and tracked. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, deliveries, lead times, and job requirements. Monitor project budgets and assist Project Managers in identifying cost overruns and potential change-order work. Review field progress against drawings, schedules, and project requirements. Participate in project meetings, site walks, coordination meetings, and internal management reviews. Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, drawings, revisions, approvals, and field conditions. Assist with project closeout, punch lists, inspections, as-built documentation, and turnover. Communicate professionally with clients, architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal management. Travel between the New Jersey office and New York City project sites as required. Qualifications The ideal candidate is highly organized, accountable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
