Job Description Summary/Objective:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of electric vehicle (EV), battery storage and solar projects within our growing organization. As an integral part of our project management team, you will assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful delivery of renewable related projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the fast-paced and rapidly evolving EV and renewable industry. This Project Manager will be assigned to multiple clients and sectors of Pxt's infrastructure projects. The position requires a high level of responsibility with a strong electrical knowledge and project management experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support:
Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of EV-related projects, including timelines, resources, budgets, and scope.
Coordination & Communication:
Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, manufacturing, and external stakeholders.
Scheduling & Planning:
Help develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of key project deliverables.
Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Budget Tracking:
Support budget monitoring and cost control efforts to ensure the project stays within financial parameters.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination:
Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of necessary materials and services.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that project outputs meet quality standards and client specifications.
Progress Reporting:
Track and report on project progress, prepare regular status updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Assist in the identification of process improvements for better efficiency and project delivery.
Additional Essential Functions:
Obtain proposals from vendors and level project pricing Submittal of equipment logs for approval and processing Prepare two week look a heads and weekly updates RFI logs and change order management Track meetings with minutes Obtain Insurance certificates for owner, landlord, property managers Liaison to client, landlord, property managers and subcontractors for specific projects Must be able to perform the job physically from remote office Monday through Friday during normal business hours and be available as needed for site visits and travel with advance notice Comply with the company protocol and procedures at all times Highly organized with strong communication skills Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
