Job Description

Job Overview The Project Manager is the connective role between Sales, Production, and Customers at Zeon Signs. This person owns each job from contract handoff through completion — pulling permits, scheduling production and installation, and keeping customers informed — so that projects move through the shop on time and without confusion between departments. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit sign permit applications to city/county authorities and track approvals through to issuance. Schedule jobs across production and installation, balancing crew capacity, material lead times, and customer deadlines. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers once a job leaves Sales — providing status updates and resolving questions. Coordinate handoffs between Sales, Production, and Installation so job details, artwork, and site requirements carry through accurately. Maintain accurate job status in Zeon's scheduling/tracking system and flag delays or conflicts before they affect the customer. Communicate with landlords, property managers, and zoning offices as needed to keep permitting on track. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors involved in a job (e.g., electricians, crane operators) as required. Identify recurring bottlenecks in the permitting or scheduling process and recommend fixes. Qualifications Experience coordinating projects, schedules, or permits — sign, construction, or related trades industry preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple jobs simultaneously. Comfortable communicating directly with customers, city officials, and internal teams. Working knowledge of permitting processes and municipal requirements (or ability to learn quickly). Proficient with scheduling/project tracking software and general office tools. Clear written and verbal communication skills. What Zeon Signs Offers A hands-on role with real ownership over how jobs move through the company. A growing, established sign manufacturing and installation business in Albuquerque. Competitive salary of $45,000-$60,000/year, commensurate with experience.
