Our People division is growing, and we are seeking a Project Controller Scheduling to join our Fourmile Project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to support the successful execution of mining capital and operational projects. This role ensures schedule accuracy, identifies risks and opportunities, and provides clear, data-driven insights to project leaders and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing schedules for large, complex, multi-disciplinary mining projects. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using approved scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Track progress, update schedules, and analyze variances to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables. Work closely with project managers, engineers, cost controllers, and contractors to collect and validate schedule data. Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for optimization. Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc schedule reports with clear visuals, progress updates, and forecasts. Support project controls processes including earned value management (EVM), progress measurement, and integrated planning. Assist in developing baseline schedules and change management documentation. Ensure scheduling standards, coding structures, and best practices are consistently applied across all projects. Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and risk assessments, providing schedule insights and recommendations.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field required 3-7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction preferred Proficiency in Primavera P6 required; experience with MS Project or other scheduling tools preferred Strong understanding of project management principles, project controls, and earned value methodologies preferred Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project scopes, and construction sequences required Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills required Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams required Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in schedule development and reporting required Experience working on capital projects in open pit, underground, processing, or infrastructure environments preferred Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and risk management processes preferred Ability to manage multiple schedules across several active projects preferred Professional certifications such as PSP (AACE), PMI-SP, or PMP considered an asset preferred What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
