Job Summary We are seeking an Operations Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic growth initiatives. This role involves overseeing project lifecycle phases, managing cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices in project management methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in program development, and expertise in process improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma. The Operations Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring successful project delivery aligned with organizational goals. Duties Lead the planning, execution, and closure of multiple projects within scope, schedule, and budget parameters. Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet to facilitate effective scheduling and resource allocation. Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish clear deliverables. Apply change management principles to ensure smooth transitions during process or system implementations. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies or issues impacting operational performance. Utilize methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), or Kanban to adapt project approaches based on project needs. Manage project risks through proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve conflicts, and align expectations. Oversee vendor management activities related to IT infrastructure or external service providers. Monitor project performance using earned value management techniques; report on key metrics such as scope adherence and cost control. Drive process improvements through Lean Six Sigma tools like Kaizen events or value stream mapping. Ensure quality management standards are maintained throughout project execution. Prepare detailed technical documentation including process maps, business process modeling diagrams, and technical reports. Qualifications Proven experience in supervising complex projects within a manufacturing or operational environment. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) standards. Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success in team management and program development. Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Primavera P6. Expertise in requirements gathering, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles; certification such as Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform data collection and analysis for continuous improvement initiatives. Strong organizational skills complemented by effective presentation and technical writing abilities. Experience managing IT infrastructure projects or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous. Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with conflict management abilities to resolve issues efficiently. Ability to adapt quickly within a dynamic environment while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.
