Job Description:

Position:
Project Manager -
Finance Initiatives Location:
Candidate must live in the states of NY-NJ-CT and be able to commute to our office in Midtown NYC Function As the Project Manager supporting Finance initiatives you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the ERP system implementation and other Finance-driven projects, ensuring timely delivery and seamless integration with existing systems. You will report to the Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) and collaborate closely with Finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities Project Management:
Lead Finance and ERP projects with strong leadership and organizational skills. Manage competing priorities, project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs. Translate those needs into detailed business requirements, process flows, and user stories, ensuring ERP functionality aligns with financial operations.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including specifications, workflows, process maps, wireframes, and functional designs tailored for Finance systems.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact between Finance, IT, vendors, and other departments. Facilitate clear communication and alignment across all project stakeholders.
Process Analysis:
Analyze current financial processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ERP and other Finance systems.
Project Support:
Oversee system testing, develop test plans, assist with quality assurance, monitor resource allocation, and proactively manage project risks and issues.
Communication:
Present project updates and financial impact analyses to stakeholders and leadership. Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions that support both technical feasibility and financial integrity.
Change Management:
Lead change management efforts including end-user training, adoption strategies, and support for new ERP functionalities and finance process enhancements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to analyze financial data and operational processes, translating them into actionable project requirements.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence Finance, IT, and executive leadership.
Technical Understanding:
Solid knowledge of Finance operations, ERP systems, business analysis, and project management principles. Experience managing ERP implementations (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, etc.) is highly preferred.
Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, develop strategic solutions, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, MS Project, Microsoft Teams, and ERP reporting tools.

Midtown NYC Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge:
5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years focused on Finance system implementations or ERP deployments.
Certifications:
PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner, or ERP-specific certifications are a plus.
Tools:
Familiarity with ERP systems, JIRA, Confluence, Azure Board, MS Planner, MS Project, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
