CONTACT Job Description Position Summary:
The Project Manager will serve in a half-time (.5 FTE) capacity to support the implementation, coordination, and administrative management of the Transformational Youth Hub. Working in close collaboration with the Project Coordinator and under the direction of the NYS Department of Justice and NYSED Office of Special Education, the Project Manager will ensure effective project operations, documentation, fiscal tracking, communication, and partner coordination. This position focuses on operational excellence, compliance, reporting, logistics, and internal systems management to ensure the project meets all deliverables, timelines, and accountability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support execution of all components of the Youth Transformation Hub. Develop and maintain project timelines, work plans, and implementation tracking systems. Assist with coordinating regional needs assessments and compiling findings. Support deployment and coordination of specialists and peer mentoring activities. Ensure alignment with NYS Department of Justice and NYSED priorities. Prepare and track quarterly logs and expenditure reports. Maintain documentation for staffing updates and compliance submissions. Monitor budget expenditures in coordination with finance staff. Coordinate advisory board meetings including scheduling, agendas, and documentation. Assist with professional development logistics and partner communication. Support implementation of evaluation procedures and tracking systems. Compile participation data, surveys, and outcome metrics. Develop standardized procedures and operational workflows. Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Experience in project management, grant administration, or program coordination. Strong organizational and systems-management skills. Familiarity with implementation science and systems change principles preferred. Experience supporting professional development or community-based initiatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience working with schools or justice-involved youth preferred. Education Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
Typical office setting with required travel throughout New York City. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Materials & Equipment:
Computer, copier, scanner, wireless access, phone, and other standard office technology.
