Project Manager III

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Project Manager III to lead complex technical programs within an advanced technology and manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a strategic project leader with strong technical acumen, cross-functional leadership experience, and the ability to manage programs from concept through delivery.

Travel:

Up to 10% domestic travel to sites based on project need. Advanced notice will be provided. Travel duration may be up to one week at a time.

Education:

Associate's Degree minimum required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Optical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical and cross-functional teams to execute strategic programs and initiatives Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, risks, and resource planning Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define scope and deliver successful outcomes Drive program execution from initiation through implementation using structured project management methodologies Monitor changes in scope, requirements, timelines, and business objectives while managing associated impacts Present program updates, risks, and strategic recommendations to leadership teams Support product development, testing, evaluation, and manufacturing implementation activities Ensure process discipline, milestone achievement, and effective communication across all organizational levels

Required Qualifications:

5-7+ years of technical project or program management experience Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills Experience managing technical programs within manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project risks effectively Must be ITAR compliant — candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting new product development and manufacturing transfer activities Familiarity with SAP or manufacturing systems Advanced degree in optics or related field Experience working with technical research or innovation organizations Why Join CTG?
