Campus Title Senior Project Manager

Position Summary SUNY Geneseo—New York's Public Honors College—is where academic excellence meets a strong, vibrant campus community. Our facilities management team is at the heart of shaping that experience, delivering projects that elevate how students live, learn, and connect. We're looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our high-performing team and lead meaningful capital and campus projects from concept through construction. As the College's primary on-site representative, you'll play a key role in delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards—while collaborating closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners. This is a unique opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact on campus while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Required Qualifications Minimum qualifications:
High school degree and a minimum four years experience in project management, construction administration and inspections to include diverse experience in civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing construction projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, strong organizational and communication skills, and a clear commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an architectural/engineering field and five years experience in project management, construction administration and inspections to include diverse experience in architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing construction projects
Working proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Assetworks, Google Drive, OneDrive and other collaborative software.
Working knowledge of SUNY contracting procedures 7554, 7555 and 7557
License/Certification Valid driver's license
Other Skills Required Supervision Received The Senior Project Manager reports to the Director of Planning and Construction.
Supervision Exercised Typically do not supervise lower level staff.

Oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and SUNY Geneseo standards. Monitor contractor performance, schedules, and compliance with safety requirements and applicable codes (NYS Building Code, OSHA). Maintain a regular on-site presence during active construction and respond to off-hours emergencies as needed. Percentage Of Time 25% Job Duty/ Responsibility Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate project activities among contractors, consultants, design professionals, and campus stakeholders. Represent faculty, staff, and student needs in the development and prioritization of campus capital projects. Work collaboratively with the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), Office of General Services (OGS), Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), and other regulatory entities to meet project objectives. Attend project meetings and prepare or review meeting minutes for accuracy and completeness. Percentage Of Time 20% Job Duty/ Responsibility Contract Administration & Documentation Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor payment applications. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and meeting minutes. Review contractor administrative documentation and payment requests in coordination with project stakeholders. Coordinate with New York State agencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including: o New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) o SUNY Contracting Procedures 7554, 7555, and 7557 Percentage Of Time 15% Job Duty/ Responsibility Planning, Budgeting & Project Closeout Assist in project planning, programming, and design coordination with architects and engineers. Develop, manage, and present project budgets, schedules, and funding requests. Manage project closeout, including warranties, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
