www.youtube.com/@kistnerconcreteproductsinc286 Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager / Estimator will support project estimating, customer service, project coordination, and technical sales efforts. This position works closely with contractors, engineers, municipalities, distributors, and internal departments to provide solutions, prepare quotations, coordinate projects, and support production activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction, manufacturing, engineering, project management, or estimating experience who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with customers. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Overtime as needed) Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to support customer projects.
- Review plans and specifications to prepare quantity takeoffs and project estimates.
- Develop project quotations based on engineering requirements, material costs, and sales analysis.
- Prepare project submittals and supporting documentation.
- Process approved drawings into production.
- Provide project support throughout all phases, including estimating, design coordination, submittals, production, and delivery.
- Communicate with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and customers regarding project requirements and product applications.
- Assist with project management activities and operational support as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of company products, manufacturing capabilities, pricing, quality standards, and industry specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure (assessment conducted during interview) .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical or engineering documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, estimating, project management, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required. Location Requirement Must be local to or willing to commute to Lockport, NY (no relocation offered) Why Work With Us
