PM Annual Education Stipends:

General Responsibilities:
The work involves developing and providing information and technical assistance on behalf of Erie 1 BOCES and assisting with development, planning and implementation of sexual health related education programs. This position includes assisting and coordinating a youth-driven program, working directly with the youth, and requires the ability to meet two (2) evenings a week. In addition, this position requires facilitating evidence-based workshops in the Buffalo Public schools to middle and high school students. Coordination of youth leadership and employment programs. Assists in supervision of employed youth in programs. Assists in the development, planning and implementation of sexual health-related educational programs. Works with staff, community agencies, community members, and schools to perform tasks necessary to support community wellness efforts. Sets up and delivers presentations to youth in schools, community agencies and other settings. Maintains contact and prepares written material for various programs and participants. Attends community meetings and conducts outreach events as required. Maintains all Social Media accounts related to youth programs Works with community agencies and organizations in the preparation of programs and meetings to increase community involvement in the department's programs and services. Assists in the preparation and dissemination of flyers and brochures; and, utilized technology, such as social networking sites to promote department's programs, services and events Schedules and participates in meetings with staff and community agencies regarding the department's programs and services and other topics as required. Assists in the collection, analysis, and preparation of data, using appropriate software; prepares written reports. Serves as liaison to community agencies, community members, and department staff on behalf of the department's programs and services. Provides technical support to conferences, forums, using computers, projectors, equipment, etc. Provides information over the phone, or in person, regarding agency and community programs. Represents Erie 1 BOCES as assigned. Work requires flexible schedule with availability in the evening and on occasional weekends. Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title. Job Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet minimum civil service qualifications for a provisional appointment as follows: A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's degree and one (1) year of experience in social work, counseling, public health or public administration, or; B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience in social work, counseling, public health or public administration, or; C) An Associate's degree or 60 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university and 5 years' experience in social work, counseling, public health or public administration, or; D) An equivalent combination of education and experience of as defined by the limits of A, B or C above.
NOTE:
Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
Additional Qualifications:
The successful candidate must take an upcoming Erie County Civil Service exam and be reachable on the list to maintain the position.
