https://energo.com/ This position is based out of our Woodside, NY office, and reports to our Vice President of Mechanical Services. This individual will be responsible for sales, operations, and the profit/loss of all installations, and must have a proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and profit goals. The role will provide you with significant autonomy along with organizational support to help you succeed. This position's top priorities are to manage and increase the profitability of our Installations Department and manage existing business, cultivate new customers, improve customer experience, improve skills of assigned technicians and ensure optimum use of staffing and equipment.
Duties Include:
Identify bid opportunities, review all bidding documents, plans, schedules, and budgets to establish a complete understanding of the project scope of work Prepare bid packages and prepare estimates for jobs Prepare, maintain and update project schedules Execute installations according to construction documents (drawings, specs, manuals) Work to obtain and track all permits and signoffs for the project Schedule and oversee installation crews and subcontractors to complete the contracted work Periodically attend job walkthroughs Track project budgets on both labor and materials to ensure project is completed within budget Manage contract scope and track all items related to the contract ensuring their completion Estimate change orders for active projects and work with the customer for approvals Work with vendors and suppliers to procure the appropriate equipment and subcontracted services to ensure that all conditions of contract documents are identified/accounted for Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers, and/or City Agencies, as needed Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all parties involved in the project Train customers in equipment operation upon completion of project Maintain tracking logs for all projects Assist in purchasing and procurement Effective supervision of Installations division staff Develop additional business opportunities and improve our proposals closing rate Ensure safe work environment Required Experience Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar role managing boiler installations In-depth knowledge of boilers and heating systems in the following areas: Steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, domestic hot water heating systems, pumps, gas and fuel oil systems, mechanical code, plumbing, and basic electrical In-depth experience with oil-to-gas conversions and fuel grade conversions (#4 to #2 oil) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel required Must be detail oriented, a team player and have excellent follow-up skills Must have effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills Comfortably making decisions daily to ensure the success of the project and make sure timelines are met
