JOC ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT ENGINEER
New York City, NY | Up to $120,000 DOE | Full-Time

Our client, a well-established general contracting firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to join their growing team and support the management of Job Order Contracting projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced senior project managers, build your JOC expertise, and grow within a stable and respected organization.
  • WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and closeout of JOC projects — from initial scope development through final delivery Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation across all active jobs Monitor project budgets and schedules — identify potential issues early and assist in developing solutions Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with quality standards, building codes, and project specifications Serve as a key communication link between project stakeholders — owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams Support senior project managers with both administrative and technical project tasks Assist in the management and coordination of vendors and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle•
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field 2-4 years of project management experience — JOC (Job Order Contracting) experience is required Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulatory requirements Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Clear and professional communicator — comfortable working with owners, field teams, and subcontractors Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering quality work•
