May be available for the right candidate Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Traveling Low Voltage Systems Project Manager to manage and coordinate low-voltage and technology scopes for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with low-voltage, IT, security, life-safety, structured cabling, network infrastructure, or related technology systems, along with experience coordinating projects from estimating and planning through installation and completion. This is a traveling position, and candidates must be willing to travel regularly and/or temporarily relocate based on project requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate low-voltage and technology system scopes throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate design, installation, constructability, quality, and integration of technology systems. Develop project-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices. Perform quantity takeoffs and obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing. Prepare and support project estimates, budgets, and proposals. Manage project budgets, costs, schedules, staffing projections, billing, and financial performance. Develop project plans and schedules to meet scope, cost, quality, and completion goals. Track project milestones and communicate progress with project teams and stakeholders. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, clients, field teams, and internal project teams. Identify and resolve technical and project-related issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate project documentation and support project closeout. Promote and follow all company and jobsite safety requirements. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in low-voltage, IT, security, life-safety, structured cabling, network infrastructure, or related technology systems. Strong understanding of low-voltage system design, installation, and integration. Experience working within commercial construction or similar project environments. Experience with project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, proposals, and cost management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to coordinate multiple contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Valid and unrestricted driver's license required. Must be willing to travel extensively and/or temporarily relocate for projects. Must be willing to work non-traditional hours when required by project needs. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience. Experience managing low-voltage scopes on large commercial or industrial construction projects. Experience with systems such as structured cabling, security/access control, surveillance, IT/network infrastructure, or life-safety systems. Experience with quantity takeoffs, estimating, vendor pricing, change management, and project financials. Strong leadership, presentation, problem-solving, and client-facing skills. Work Environment & Travel Position may include both office and active construction/project-site environments. Frequent travel and/or temporary relocation may be required. May occasionally work in hot or cold job site conditions. Some projects may require non-traditional working hours. Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling as required on project sites.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$91,000-$125,000/year, depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time position with benefits. Relocation assistance may be available for an ideal candidate. Interview-related travel may be reimbursed when applicable.
Important:
This position requires substantial low-voltage/technology systems experience and extensive travel availability. Candidates with only general construction project management experience and no relevant low-voltage/technology background may not be a fit.
