Job Description

U.S. Bridge is a bridge fabricator and general contractor with a primary focus on the public sector. A Project Draftsman Coordinator manages technical drawings and documentation for construction and industrial projects. They collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop detailed shop and erection drawings for steel bridge components including girders, trusses, cross-frames, and connection details Interpret structural engineering plans, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate construction documents Maintain project documentation Communicate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients Identify and resolve project issues Ensure drawings meet project deadlines and specifications Maintain and enforce drafting and document control standards Manage project schedules Manage the quality of subcontract drafting resources
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of drafting experience specifically within the steel bridge fabrication or heavy structural steel industry Ability to read and interpret contract plans and project specifications Proficiency in drafting software
EDUCATION
An Associate of Applied Science in Drafting or a related degree/certificate from a community college or technical school.
