Job Description

Project Coordinator Under administrative direction, is responsible for planning and adminstering a specific project or program for a City department. Serves as the administrative supervisor on projects or programs. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews activities of subordinate personnel. Monitors the project or program's operating budget and assists in the annual preparation of same. Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation. Develops and secures commitments from other City departments and agencies to provide services to program participants. Provides technical assistance or reviews program policies and procedures. Maintains current information and oversees the preparation of project status reports. Prepares financial and narrative reports and program applications. Communicates project/program status and information to municipal officials and/or public and private entities. May supervise employees assigned to the respective project. Performs other related duties as required.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, or closely related field preferred. Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience in program administration required. Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required. Additional Duties Coordinates with analyst/programmers, documentation specialists, user technology specialists, and other support staff involved in the development of new or maintenance of existing information technology systems. Supervises the various phases of application and systems analysis, development, coordination, implementation, and documentation ensuring that user applications and sub-system activities are compatible with total system objectives. Is responsible for systems planning, the development and review of designs and plans of information technology related to projects to ensure all requirements are satisfied, reconciliation of conflicts within and between staff regarding resources, deadlines, and standards, and the resolution of the most difficult computer and applications related problems. Initiates or participates in systems analysis studies. Directs applications systems planning, budgeting, and acquisition, and accepts new equipment for the department. Monitors time and dollar expenditures to ensure projects and budgets meet established targets. Writes periodic progress, project status, and problems resolution reports regarding information technology for management review. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work process, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Performs other job-related duties as required. The IT Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the 311 Verint Citizen Engagement Application for the City of Cleveland. Candidate should have a working knowledge of SmartSheets and/or Microsoft Project for project tracking and reporting. Candidate should have or working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification to support this role. Direct project management experience related to the drafting/development of request for proposals, evaluations, project charter, project implementation, project monitoring and project closeout.
