Position Summary The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of material handling projects from initial customer engagement through installation and final closeout. This position will coordinate engineering, purchasing, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience managing industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling projects and possess strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Manage material handling projects involving conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, palletizers, sortation systems, lifts, racks, mezzanines, packaging equipment, and other warehouse automation solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and installation timelines. Coordinate project activities between sales, engineering, procurement, fabrication, subcontractors, field technicians, and customers. Review project scopes, drawings, specifications, contracts, and equipment requirements to ensure successful execution. Track project costs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses against established budgets. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent schedule delays and cost overruns. Coordinate procurement and delivery of equipment and materials to support project schedules. Work closely with engineering teams to review layouts, equipment designs, electrical requirements, controls, and system integration. Manage contractors and installation crews during field implementation and commissioning. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide customers and leadership with updates on schedule, budget, risks, and project milestones. Manage change orders, scope changes, customer requests, and associated pricing and documentation. Ensure projects comply with applicable safety requirements, industry standards, customer requirements, and company policies. Coordinate equipment installation, testing, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Troubleshoot project issues and coordinate timely resolution of technical, scheduling, and operational challenges. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, purchase orders, change orders, meeting notes, drawings, punch lists, and closeout documents. Conduct final project reviews and ensure successful turnover to the customer and service/maintenance teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of project management experience in material handling, automation, manufacturing, or industrial environments. Experience managing projects involving mechanical equipment, conveyors, automation, controls, or warehouse systems. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract management. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, equipment specifications, and project documentation. AutoCAD Inventor or related CAD software experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project; experience with ERP or project management software is a plus. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and customer-service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel to customer and project sites 10-15% / year Preferred Skills Experience with conveyor and automated material handling systems. Experience working with electrical and mechanical installation teams. Familiarity with OSHA requirements and industrial safety practices. PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is beneficial.

Pay:

$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
